So yes and no: I always liked the over-the-top-ness of it. With organizations being called S.Q.U.I.D. and such. And I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously while still being deadly serious.

But it was silly and, on reflection, the mystical aspects of the later issues seem trite. But I was 13 and it mind blowing.

@elecray7k I only read one issue that I picked up cheap somewhere, I’m afraid. I was in my mid-twenties so my mind wasn’t so easily blown - though it was unfair of me to be disappointed that it wasn’t the comic I imagined it was. Did it get mystical, then?
