cooking

You'll never see pictures of the best food I make because I eat it before I think to take a picture. RIP risotto

re: cooking

@srol I suddenly want to make pasta risotto again now ;)

re: cooking

@Azure ooo, pasta risotto, what's that?

re: cooking

@srol Pasta cooked like risotto. It has a similar creaminess.

You can also do pasta pilaf (which is what I do most of the time) where you cook pasta in broth (with the orzo I usually use a quantity a bit less than the pasta itself) in the oven until it's all absorbed, then stir in butter and cheese and anything else you want in it.

re: cooking

@Azure Ah neat. I've finished pasta that way, moving very al dente pasta from the collander to a pan with tomato sauce and a bit of the pasta water, but I've never cooked pasta the whole way like that.

re: cooking

@srol The first time I tried it I used a mix of fresh garlic and black garlic (since I wanted to try it in something) and cheese and herbs and whatnot and the first bite was among the best pasta experiences :)

re: cooking

@Azure Definitely gotta try this!
